San Francisco – Tay’s 30th Birthday

Happy Birthday Taylor! I ruined the surprise weeks before we went, but I bought him tickets to a SF Giants vs Chicago Cubs game. We were only in SF for less than 48 hours, but it was fun to catch the sites and get away to celebrate his 30th birthday! Thanks mom for keeping the kids!

Twins start class at My Gym

Today the twins started their class at My Gym. They totally love it there and are completely fearless to try everything. They especially love the ball pit and anything they can climb. Their attention isn’t too great at circle time, but I’m sure it will improve as we go more often. I’m amazed at them, they can walk the balance beam, do sommersaults, hang from the bar, climb ladders, jump on the trampoline, and even attempt the rock wall and they barely turned 17 months today! My biggest challenge is making sure they are safe.

Zoo – baby elephant debut!

Amy and I took the kids to the zoo on Friday to see the debut of the baby elephant! Can I just say, SO CUTE! We got to see the baby elephant, giraffe, tigers, snow leapord, and crocodile. The kids had a blast seeing the animals, playing on the playground, riding the train, and playing in the “ball” fountain.

St George

We went to St George this past weekend to see my sister and go to Tuacahn. It happened to be Hurricane City’s Peach Days, so we took the kids to the parade & carnival in the morning on Saturday. Cole loved the bouncy house and blow up slides, while the girls wanted nothing to do with them. Of course a little girl did knock Brighton down in the bouncy house, so I don’t blame her. All the kids loved the train and building wood kits at the Home Depot station. Home Depot’s activity was awesome, they all got personalized orange tool aprons and a kit of their choice (there were like 6 different choices). Cole chose a helicopter, where they had all the wood pieces pre-cut and nails ready with instructions, so Cole got to glue and nail the helicopter together. He loved it! The girls got their uncles (Ty & Brady) to build their tool boxes, that they love to carry around! I think Cole’s favorite thing was the balloon sword that an orthodontist made him. He and Hayden had a blast with those swords. The twins chewed on their flowers until they popped them. The last activity we did was this crazy ride that I was going to ride, but Cole really wanted to go… so I let him. He sat by Heidi (Shelly & Jordan also went) and held her hand when they were upside down. He loved it and did really good until right at the end he got the lightheaded look and they thankfully stopped the ride.
Saturday evening we went to Tuacahn and saw Aida, thanks to Hayley for watching the kids. Aida was great… we love Tuacahn.
Sunday we went to church, ate, naps, games, ate, and then went to this awesome park. Everyone had a blast! The twins did great on the little playground and bouncy teeter-totter toy, but figured out they could climb the big kid stairs to the big slide, which scared their father! Taylor helped Cole climb this big rock wall, then while we were helping the girls, he did it all by himself over and over again. I am glad he could do it, I just wish he had a tiny bit of fear to make sure he has someone to keep an eye on him.
Monday we hit the outlets and went swimming before driving home. It was a fun weekend! I’ll add pictures when my mom sends them to me… we forgot a CF card!
