Dinosaur Park

Yesterday was the last Tuesday before Cole starts preschool and he has been asking everyday to go to grandma Jordan’s for over a week now. It was too cold to go swimming, so I told him we could go to grandma’s. I called Heidi and we decided to go take the kids to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. I didn’t know how cute it was or how much the kids would love it. We go to Thanksgiving Point’s Dinosaur Museum fairly frequently, so I thought they might be bored with more dinosaurs. Boy was I wrong, the dinosaurs are molded, painted, and on display in the woods, rocks, water, etc. It was so fun! The dinosaurs were a hit, the sounds, playgrounds, fossil digging, and weather couldn’t have been more fun. Cole talked about all the dinosaurs for hours and couldn’t wait to get home to tell daddy all about them. Here’s some of the highlights:

TGP Children’s Garden

My friend Kelli and I took our kids to the Thanksgiving Point Children’s Discovery Garden today. They had a blast and it was totally fun to catch up with Kelli. Here’s a few pics of our fun!

Hallie would circle the ark around and around kicking the water as she walked in it.

Brighton and Mason started the fence climbing and were just chillin’ and chattin’! Who knew that a fence could be just as fun as the other play areas!

Miss Personality

I tried to get some pics of my kids today – somedays I wonder why I even attempt. The girls didn’t want to cooperate, but I happened to capture a couple that I thought are very typical of them and show their little personalities.
HallieSide
Typical Hallie! I just can’t get enough of her and her million expressions.
BrightonSide
Brighton peeking around the purse in her mouth, of course, with those huge blue eyes… that seriously would melt the heart of anyone.
HallieSmileBrightonSmile
I was able to get a couple of them laughing!
HallieChair
I love that I actually was able to get one picture of Hallie sitting so big on this chair that she climbed up and sat down on all herself. They are so proud when they do it, but they usually get down as fast as they get up, so this was a rare occasion to get a picture of it.
BrightonChair
I have a million pictures of Brighton looking down. I can’t get her to look at me unless she is crying or reaching for something. I love her little tongue in this picture… she was studying something in her hand.

Lava

We went camping in Lava over the weekend! The kids are pretty good campers, except that they wake up as soon as it’s light (6 am the first morning and 7 the next). They loved the tent, camp-fire, playground, swimming, miniature golfing, cousins, aunts/uncles, and grandparents. I need to get pictures of the mini golf and swimming from my mom! These pics are from the park where we ate lunch and hung out for one afternoon. The girls loved that they could climb up and go down this slide all by themselves. The merry-go-round was fun for the bigger kids!
