Well, we had a great time at Hallie & Brighton’s first birthday Mad Hatter Tea Party. Most of the family was great sports to wear crazy hats! Amy won the hot tamale prize for her awesome purple sombrero, Heidi one the laffy taffy prize for her beer mug hat that she thought was a tea cup, and Tyler won the nerds prize for his stack of hats (I bet there must have been almost a dozen hats on his head). The twins were adorable in their black & white striped leg warmers and pink pettiskirts. I made them birthday hats with sparkly paper and tulle, which were cute, but they only would leave them on when their hands were preoccupied… like covered in frosting from their personal cakes! To everyone’s delight, Hallie had frosting smeared all over her face. Brighton was more timid, but they both were enjoying their cakes. The slideshow with pictures from their first year was personally my favorite part, thanks Taylor – you always do a good job! We had a cake walk and the twins got more presents than they needed, but they are fully enjoying them… SO THANK YOU!
