Should I grow my hair out?
Okay, so I’ve been trying to grow my hair out with the thought that it’s probably the last time I’ll grow it long in my lifetime. Now I’m questioning my goal and need some help making the decision.
My two major pet peeves of people with long hair is people who insist on having it long, when it doesn’t look good and people who always pull it back into a ponytail or bun. I know that my hair is thick and healthy enough to look good long. I’m excited about wearing it down with loose curls or long and straight. While it’s unrealistic to say that I’ll wear my long hair down everyday, I do think that I’ll do my hair when I’m going out. The other thing to think about is when I do get sick of it long, I’ll donate it to locks of love again (for a third time in my life). I know that it will take longer to dry long hair, but styling should be about the same amount of time. I figure it will take about another year and a half to get it long enough to donate.
On the other hand, when I notice someone with a haircut that I think is “REALLY CUTE”… it’s always short. I love short hair! This is why I figure this would be the last time I’d grow it out.
My husband is really supportive either way, so it’s really my call. I just keep questioning my decision, so please vote and give me your thoughts. Here’s a pic of what it looked like last time it was long.

OK, growing your hair long. That’s a hard one. Only because it is so dang hard to put up with while you let it grow long. So either way – it really is up to you and how long you can stand letting it grow. You do have thick gorgeous hair and you do have it to a certain length right now that just letting it get longer may not be so hard at this point!
i say keep it short! but then again, like you said this could be the last time in your life to grow it. i don’t know. i guess i’m on the fence. either way you’re gorgeous!
Hmm…I don’t really know which way to go on this one. You are one of those lucky people who looks great with short or long hair. I guess I’d say why not grow it out again, just for the fun of doing something different. I hope you post pictures, so I can see what you decide!
I love the fact that there are people out there that can do either short or long and look amazing. You are one of those people. I am not. Short hair and I do not work because of my stupid curls. My hair always looks 5 inches shorter then it is. I say grow it out this last ime and enjoy it. Then donate it when you are tired of it. But remeber no matter what you do you look amazing!!!
Jill, I think it is so pretty in this picture long, but…I LOVE your short hair. In fact I have been considering having Val cut mine like yours! It is very cute on you. Remember long hair is harder to maintain too!
