Ehat Family Update

I keep thinking I’m going to wait to post until I have cute pictures to post. Well, I’m not going to wait for pictures… I’ll add them later. Here’s what’s new in the last month.

Cole is a fish. He is taking swim lessons and does really good. He’s always been comfortable in the water with water wings or life vest, but he isn’t afraid of anything and wasn’t safe (he’ll just jump in). The goal of swim lessons is to help him be safe in the water. He is amazing though, with the fins on he can swim across the width of the pool keeping his head out of the water. He’s getting better about using his arms too! Way to go Cole! We took Coley miniature golfing last week – he did pretty good for the first few holes, then he’d just put the ball in the hole and yell “I did it”, throwing his arms up in the air.

Hallie is a jumping, smiling, talking baby girl. She loves the jumper and can jump with both legs. Every time she is in the jumper, I just sit and gawk in amazement at her jumping abilities. I mean seriously, she’s only 3 months old and she can jump. She will smile, goo, blow bubbles, and talk to anyone who will talk to her. She only has one smile, super big, open mouth, huge grin that lights up her whole face. She is super sweet and those cheeks are too kissable to resist.

Brighton is a doll. She likes the jumper and will stand in it and pick up her legs, but doesn’t jump yet. She is much more talkative and smiley than she used to be. I got her to giggle once a couple days ago tickling her – it was so stinkin’ cute. She loves toys, but studies them before she grabs, kicks, or bats at them. She is my little scooter – lying on her back, she will scoot off the blanket pushing with those long skinny legs.

Taylor’s back is getting better – he starts physical therapy today. We’ve been camping and boating two weekends in a row. It was really fun to get out in nature, 4-wheel, sit around the fire, play games, go boating, etc. It was a little crazy taking 3 babies camping, but we managed thanks to help from our awesome family.

I went back to work a couple weeks ago. I just work 2 days a week and a few hours from home. The kids have done great at daycare, thanks to a great daycare team. It’s been a good fit as I get a little time away from my kids doing a job I enjoy and feel like I make a difference at, yet I still get 5 days at home with my kids – so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on their lives. Now, if I could just afford to hire a housekeeper and cook – I’d have the perfect life.
