Dinosaur Museum

Coley was so cute at the Dinosaur Museum. He’s so into dinosaurs right now. He has played with his dinosaur toys all day, watched Land Before Time before his nap, and we had dinosaur chicken nuggets for dinner! Grandma Lori went with us, which allowed Taylor to get some cute pictures (I’ll post them as soon as I get our photo sharing figured out). He was so fascinated by all the dinosaurs and loved exploring each room… he kept telling grandma “me” (come with me) whenever she was walking slower than he wanted to. He would identify the dinosaur parts… teeth, head, feet – and even stomped on the big “long neck” feet… saying “feet” as he was doing so. Now that we have a Thanksgiving Point membership, we’ll have to go more often.

Photo Fiasco

Oh my word, what a joke! We have been trying to get pictures of my kids for the last week for mother’s day and naked baby pictures of the twins. I’m totally exhausted, but I have learned a few things that I hope will help other’s in their photo endeavors.

1- If at all possible, don’t attempt to take group pictures of 6 kids under 3 years of age – unless your only expectation is of getting all of them in the same picture.
2- Make sure each child is fed immediately prior to the photography session.
3- There is no such thing as a good balance of adults to children in this scenario. The photographer can’t place 6 kids under 3 in the picture and take the shots, but too many hands and too many people cause major distractions and even more chaos.
4- Cole does not cooperate for pictures!
5- My twins don’t like to be naked & definitely won’t sleep when unwrapped.
6. HAVE REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS! Consider the ages and nature of your children and don’t expect perfect pictures, just be grateful they are in the pictures!
