Eating is Hard Work!

Coley fell asleep in his highchair today! He woke up at 6 this morning and has been going non-stop ever since! The amazing part was that I was able to capture a couple pictures, clean him up, and move him to his bed without him waking up. Okay, maybe I do have brief wonder woman moments!

Also, I finally added pictures in the photo gallery! Go check out the cute ones of the twins!

Latest…

Cole:
– Talking up a storm. He slurs sentences into one word – said with a Chinese Accent (not sure where he gets that).
– Some of my favorite words are: Wynon (lion), klynon (climbing), cwynon (crying), toye (toy), snack (said very nasally), whatyadowing (What are you doing?), ineedatoye (I need a toy), sawsaw (sorry), help, sawing (swing), me (come with me), i-jumping (I’m jumping), i-fall (I fell).
– He does pushups on Taylor’s perfect push up handles and grunts everytime he bends his arms.
– He pulls all the pillows off the couch and dives on them, hides under them, and lays in them.
– He plays the Wii with Taylor – yelling “swing” everytime he moves, and cheering after each swing.
– He is moving non-stop – either running, jumping, skipping, or diving to the floor and then rolls around!
– Sings his AA’s (ABC’s)… most the letters are still A, but he is filling in more and more letters later in the alphabet. He is also recognizing letters in books, TV, and on billboard/signs – calling them A’s. He even gets on the scale and when we ask how much he weighs.. his answer is ‘A’.
- He is at the top of the charts for his height (37 in) and 95% for his weight (33 lbs).

Hallie:
- Getting more responsive… she’ll make eye contact and sometimes even smiles.
- Growing like a weed – she is now 10 lbs.
- Burps like a man
- Watches TV
- On her tummy, she pushes up and looks around

Brighton:
- Her reflux is getting better
- Growing like a weed – she is now 9 lbs.
- Holds her head up so strongly
- Watches everything when she is awake
- Her hair is growing in blonde

Freedom

Okay, I’ve gone on my first outing without my 3 children. Granted, it was just to Walmart to buy diapers… but hey, I was out of the house ALONE! I’m so grateful to Taylor for allowing me an hour of freedom from my children… I can love them even more now! I watched Good Things Utah today, and listened to their guest author of ScreamFree Parenting talking about how important it is for mom’s to nuture themselves and have “retreats” (planned outings away from their kids on a regular basis) for the sanity and overall health of the family. While I don’t think Walmart counts as a “retreat”, I totally agree with his advice and rationale. I may just have to read his book now!
