Let’s go fly a kite!

What a beautiful day! Val and I took the kids to the park today for a picnic, to soak up some sun, and let them play and run to their hearts content. Val was smart enough to bring kites, which all the kids were entralled with. Coley did a great job of flying Rylie’s kite until he was distracted by some other kids bubbles, which then of course he let go of the kite. The wind took the kite down the soccer field. Luckily, Rylie was able to retrieve it. Thanks Ry! Coley has no fear as he climbs up all the different surfaces of the playground. Rylie started the trend of hanging on these parallel bars and dropping to get down one wing of the playground… soon lots of kids (bigger kids) were attempting the same stunt. Well Coley of course had to try too – little stinker. He successfully went from standing to hanging to dropping to the ground. The first time he was a little unsure of how to get down safely, but his determination prevailed and he accomplished the feat. The second and third time were easy once he had done it once. This kid makes me nervous, and I’m not a nervous mom.

Pass with flying colors

Well, the twins looked great during their NST yesterday, they are moving, their fluids look great, my blood pressure is great, I’m not progressing (dilated 1, 60% effaced), so there is really no hope that they’ll be born before their c-section date of 4.17.08. As much as I’d love to not be pregnant anymore, I’m glad the three of us are still doing good… and the end is less than a week away!

So Blessed!

The last few days I have felt an overwhelming feeling of being blessed, for lack of a better description. I am blessed to have an awesome husband, an extremely sweet son, and two baby girls on their way. I am so lucky to have such a great and supportive family. Over the last week I have been able to be home with Coley all day. I find myself just staring at him trying to burn the moment into my memory. I am so grateful for our 1 on 1 time and his willingness to let me just hold and snuggle with him at times. He is so amazing and I love him so much, only another mother could possibly understand how much. I have found new appreciation for my husband and all he does to make up for my limitations, especially since I’m super pregnant. He is such a good man to the very core and very talented in so many ways. I am grateful for all of our family and friend support. It’s not easy being super pregnant, uncomfortable, sore, swollen, and super emotional. I’m so grateful for all the support, sympathy, and assistance.

Farm instead of Hospital

Well, since we won’t be going to the hospital for a c-section this morning… we might as well go to Thanksgiving Point Farm instead with cousins Rylie, Saige, Lauren, & Austin. Grandma came too to help me with crazy Cole. Coley had a blast looking, making noises at, and feeding the animals… but his favorite was definitely riding the ponies. Thanks mom for coming and making this possible.
