Still not on bedrest!

Okay, I’m amazed and proud to tell you that I’m still not on bedrest and I only have a week left until the twins are scheduled for the c-section. My feet are super swollen, my belly is huge, I can’t get myself up half the time, I can’t breath when they are in my ribs, and I’m super tired…. BUT I’m not on bedrest! A lot of people have told me how great I’m doing for carrying twins, but it didn’t really sink in until my doctor’s nurse just kept going on and on about how amazing I was doing and that I haven’t been put on bedrest yet. My mom says I had to have a really hard pregnancy with Cole, so my body could handle twins! Who knows, we are just grateful they are still doing well.

The basement is DONE!

Yippee! Our basement if finally finished and ready for moving our stuff down. Tay still has a few more odds and ends that still need to be complete like paint touch ups, window well ladders, hang blinds, towel bar, shower curtain rod, etc…. but all the big stuff is done! Now we get the hard part of figuring out where to put everything, how to organize it to be useful, and then of course we’ll need to decorate it. I’m just glad it’s done!

Big Babies!

This morning I had an ultrasound to check the growth of the twins. I’m 33.5 weeks along. Baby A (Hallie) is measuring 5 lbs 8 oz and 35 weeks gestation. Baby B (Brighton) is measuring 4 lbs 10 oz and 33.5 weeks (right on schedule for their due date). According to average fetal lengths they both are about 18 inches long. My doctor was surprised as most twins measure small at this stage – not ahead of their gestation. Hallie is still head down and Brighton is breech, so we’ve scheduled the amnio for 3/31 to make sure their lungs are okay and the c-section for 4/4.

Big Boy Bed

Coley moved into his new room last night and successfully slept all night in his “big boy bed”. He was so cute when we unveiled the room… he ran in and jumped on his new toddler bed, pointed out all the baseballs and the bat on his bedding, smashed his face in his pillow, dove onto his new baseball rug, and tackled his baseball bean bag chair. It was so cute… it was like Christmas! When it was time for bed, we read a bedtime story and he went to sleep without a fight. He did wake up once crying at 2:30 am – I think he was a little disoriented and the blinds weren’t all the way shut so there was quite a bit of light in the room. I closed the blinds and layed by him for a few minutes until he had calmed down, then went back to my bed. He slept the rest of the night in his bed until we woke him up this morning!
