What’s New?
Well, we successfully moved in our house. We are SLOWLY unpacking and decorating, we’ve got the necessities done but are still working on getting the place decorated. We are planning to have an open house when we get it to a point we want visitors, we just don’t know when that will be. All three of us have been sick for what seems like forever, so we haven’t been really motivated yet.
Coley is still growing and learning new things almost everyday. His first year molars poked through last week – that makes 9 teeth (6 on top, 3 on bottom). He can sing and talk, although we can’t make out what he is saying. He sometimes says “nana” for banana, “tran” for train, “ba” for ball, and “sit” we’re not quite sure if this is swearing or what he is trying to say. He takes about 5-6 steps away from furniture, but hasn’t officially started walking yet. He decided that he only needs one nap a day, which means he sleeps 11-12 hours at night. He is getting pretty good with his hands and coordination, he can put nesting cups inside one another (2-3 at most, not all of them), stack a couple things, picks up little tables, and knocks down any stack of anything (blocks, cups, etc). He can throw things and slam them down (his dad taught him that one). He loves remote controls, phones, laptops, TV’s, etc…. basically anything electronic. He can use the remote to turn on and off the ceiling fan and light. He loves to open and shut cupboards and empty them as well as pull everything out of the diaper bag. He can turn on the faucets in the bathroom and unroll toilet paper. He loves to splash in the toilet, although we discourage this. The really spectacular thing about all this is he can do all of the above things in a blink of an eye.
