Wonderful Christmas!

We had a great Christmas – Coley’s first. He didn’t really get the whole presents thing, but was loving all the people, attention, toys, and one particular gold bow. He mutilated the bow by the time we left my mom’s, but it was by far his favorite thing on Christmas. He got a little walker toy that he learned how to maneuver in about an hour. He was popping wheelies with it yesterday and actually kept his balance – yikes, he is going to be walking by himself any day now. He is talking more and more – nonsense and tons of strange noises, but he’s hilarious. The only things he says consistently are mama and dada – he says dada when he’s happy and mama when he’s sad. I don’t think it’s quite fair, but we’ll take anything we can get.

He weighs 21 lbs and is 29 inches long. His 5th tooth (top front right) broke through as well.

They are working on the tile in our house this week.

4th tooth breaks through

Coley’s 4th tooth, top second from middle on right, finally broke through yesterday. Yippee… he slept 11 hours last night! He is a funny little kid that we are enjoying thoroughly. He also climbed all the stairs with ease this evening. Just a couple of days ago was the first time he realized he could put his knee on a stair and reach the next one, today he goes up them with ease. Now if we could just get him to understand how to come down them safely.

Our house is being taped, mudded, and textured this week.

Coley the Dare-devil

Cole’s third tooth broke through last week. It’s the top second to the middle tooth on the left side. I think it’s funny that he didn’t get the middle ones first, but we’re just glad it broke through. He finally crawls like a normal kid and pulls himself up to just about anything. He walks along the furniture and will move from the coffee table to the couch. He can bend over and pick things up without falling over. He is getting more and more daring each day. He started trying to figure out the stairs tonight…. we’re in for trouble. He’s 20 lbs now and is 28 inches tall. He is starting to wear 12 month pants for the length, although they are still big around the waist. He loves solid food – liking everything he has tried. He is making more and more noises, but nothing comprehensive as a word yet.

Our house is moving right along. They finished sheetrocking last week. We know the finish work will take the longest, but it is still fun to go see progress nearly every day.
