Scooting

Coley scoots…. fast. He pushes with his hands and feet forward, then brings his hands back in front of him and pushes again. He is getting really good at it and can get across the room in less than a minute when he really wants something. I’m afraid to see how fast he’ll be when he gets the fluidity of crawling. He finally got over his cold and is pretty much just a happy boy.

Our house has basement walls, window wells, and stubbed in plumbing in the basement. The big pile of dirt is gone… we figure they will be pouring the cement floor in the basement any day now.

Tay has put a few pictures of Coley in his pea pod costume on here… check them out!

Rockin’ and a Rollin’

Coley is officially mobile. He can pretty much get to anything he really wants to. He turns around in circles, rolls over, does full on pushups, rocks on his hands and knees, and can take a few crawling movements backwards. He hasn’t quite got the hang of how to crawl forward, but I’m sure it’s only days away.

Coley has two teeth (bottom two) as of last week. He got the first one on Oct 3rd, his 5 month mark, and the second a week later. I know he is a big boy, but I still think he’s too little to get teeth!

Tay and I are doing great… we just had our 2 year anniversary. Coley went to grandma’s overnight while we stayed at the Hotel Monaco, went to dinner at Market Street Grill, and ate breakfast in a little French Patisserie downtown Salt Lake. It was a nice little retreat to celebrate our Anniversary. Tay surprised me with a beautiful fall bouquet earlier this week… and our big gifts to each other were a couple of nice photography backdrops. How fun!

Oh yeah, and they finally started building our house. Last Sunday we just had a big hole for our basement. This week they poured the footings. They say we should be closing in March… we’ll see!
